LeoVegas expands its Danish license for 5 more years
Swedish mobile gaming company and provider of online casino and sports betting – LeoVegas AB, has obtained a 5-year expansion of its gaming license in Denmark.
The Danish gambling regulator – Spillemyndigheden, has formally extended the operator license for LeoVegas up until 2026.
The Swedish online casino operator has operated in the regulated iGaming market of Denmark since 2016, having established a strong market presence here, as it saw some serious reforms in 2018, regarding the legal aspects of the market.
The Chief Executive Officer at LeoVegas – Gustaf Hagman, commented on the renewing of the certificate by saying:
“The release of LeoVegas in Denmark has been the most major market entrance moments for us, and now considering the fact that it’s currently one of the most prominent casino operators in this country further proves the success.
I am delighted with the fact that we will be legally continuing to offer our gaming content to the Danish players.”
The renovation of the operating certificate in Denmark is a strategic step for the operator in building a solid market presence in the European segment, currently being licensed in over 7 key European markets, featuring the UK, Spain, Italy, Malta, Germany, and more.
