Macau casino revenue rises 6% year-on-year in September 2025
In the latest data released by the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ), Macau’s casinos brought in $2.27 billion in gross gaming revenue this September.
That total is down 17.5% from August, which posted $2.77 billion, the strongest month of 2025 most so far. However, September 2025 reflects a 6% gain from the revenues recorded in the same month last year.
Compared to the previous year, Macau’s casino GGR registered a growth of 7.1% to $22.5 billion during the first nine months of 2025. Even so, it remains a 17.7% decrease from the same period in 2019, when revenue reached S$27.4 billion.
September 2025 results were affected by weather disruption, with casinos closing down for a total of 33 hours, 15 hours on 5 and 6 September with Typhoon Tapah and 18 hours on 18 and 19 September with Super Typhoon Ragasa.
Data from the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) shows that Macau’s gaming revenue has beaten expectations and increased by 24% year-on-year in January 2026.
