New York sees fourth consecutive week with $500M wagers
After the wagering debut in 2022, November 2024 is positioned to take the crown in New York with its fourth consecutive week of $500M wagers.
Despite the previous week’s small decline of 5.6%, the New York Gaming Commission reported a $527.2 million handle for the week ending November 10. Week 10 of the NFL season boosted the industry with a 10.5% hold, generating $55.2 million in gross revenue. This is high by 5.5% when compared to the previous week. Year-on-year comparisons are both impressive, with their 16% increase in dollars wagered and a 25.7% rise in revenue.
FanDuel leads the New York market
FanDuel keeps its dominance, recording a $215 million handle. This is the fourth week that the company has surpassed $200 million. With an 11.3% hold, FanDuel recorded $24.4 million in revenues.
DraftKings
DraftKings takes second place with its $167.1 million handle and $15.4 million revenue, marking its third consecutive week of generating more than $15 million in profits.
BetMGM
BetMGM is the third one with $4.9 million in revenues. This is the second-best-ever result for the sportsbook.
Fanatics and Caesars
Both Fanatics and Caesars saw strong performances, with handles of $39.8 million and $37.7 million, respectively.
ESPN BET
Despite being the seventh one in the line with its handles, ESPN BET, the latest addition of Penn Entertainment, reported the best revenues since its debut in New York. Moreover, in only three days since its launch in New York, ESPN Bet generated $3 million, marking a significant entrance in the state.
