Rapper Capital Bra fined €250K for illegal casino streams
Germany’s gambling regulator, the Gemeinsame Glücksspielbehörde der Länder (GGL), has imposed a €250,000 fine on rapper Capital Bra for promoting illegal online casino services.
Capital Bra, whose real name is Vladislav Balovatsky, has been under investigation since October 2025 and is now accused of advertising illegal casinos through banners, livestreams, and a casino comparison website. Capital Bra’s channel on Twitch, called capitalbra, was used for promoting the capibonus.com website, which included a list of unlicensed casino operators. Additionally, the rapper has 2.3 million TikTok followers and 133,000 Twitch subscribers.
The regulator stated that the fine was issued after Balovatsky failed to respond to cease-and-desist orders, forcing law enforcement to serve the fine with the help of the West Hesse police during a concert at the Euro Palace in Wiesbaden on April 18, 2026.
CEO of the GGL, Ronald Benter, commented:
“Illegal gambling must not be advertised, trivialised, or promoted through seemingly entertaining content. We won’t shy away from even well-known names. Anyone who advertises illegal gambling must expect consistent legal action.”
The GGL added in a statement:
“Influencers and streamers frequently present virtual slot machines and online casino games in live streams and videos, which may be manipulated or unrealistically portrayed. This can create the impression among viewers that exceptionally high winnings are always within reach.”
The regulator has warned that illegal gambling websites don’t have the necessary player protections and have high risks of leading to addiction and financial losses.
