Rush Street against DraftKing’s new extra tax
Rush Street Interactive will not charge its players any extra tax following DraftKings’ announcement.
Talking about the new update from DraftKings’, Rush Street Interactive CEO Richard Schwartz finds it an ‘easy decision’ and reaffirms DraftKings’ dedication to providing exceptional value to players by not following the update, along with its brands BetRivers and RushBet.
Schwartz said:
“RSI remains committed to maintaining its leadership position in the industry by continuously prioritising the needs and preferences of its players. We believe that RSI’s focus on customer satisfaction, coupled with its innovative rewards and loyalty programs, sets a benchmark for excellence in the online gaming industry.”
Currently, Rush Street Interactive is the only operator that is completely against the new tax and expressed its negative reaction towards it. No other public announcements are published by another operator.
Rush Street Interactive earned $220.4 million from Q2 group revenue, which was an increase of 33.5%, mainly from North America. The majority of its business comes from casinos rather than sports and profitability has also improved with a reduced net loss of only $100,000 for the quarter.
