SBEA+ 2023 continues the excitement into day two

The second day of the 2023 edition of SBEA+ continued the event’s exciting atmosphere.

Following the conference’s successful first day, the latest installment of Eventus International’s SBEA+ continued offering its attendees a set of productive and exciting experiences. Just like the first one, the second day started off with an opening speech by its chair, Thomas Buckley Opar Owuor, who welcomed participants back to the event.

The conference’s first keynote was delivered shortly after by GLI’s Wendall Kaba, who talked about the prominent role of industry certifications and regulatory compliance in the expansion of the iGaming sector. Following this keynote was another presentation delivered by Tola Mobile’s Simon Pepper, who shared his insights on the possible upsides of utilizing a centralized mobile API solution in the East African region.

The day’s first discussion panel was held up next, which featured prominent experts like Genius Gaming Consult’s Najib Balinda, StraikaBet’s Balton Omwodo, and Astute Consulting’s Toddy Thairu, who shared their invaluable insights on Kenya’s newly introduced tax legislation. This was followed by a roundtable discussion, which covered the topic of eSports in the gambling industry and gave participants lots of valuable information on how to leverage the niche to grow in East Africa.

SBEA+ 2023 then covered the topic of responsible gambling through a discussion panel featuring TVBET’s Emily Asava, Ultrabet’s Duncan Ndegwa, and other professionals, who talked about the importance of providing East African gamblers with safe and responsible playing experiences and shared their insights on how the industry can help its user base with mental health challenges.

Lastly, the day’s final discussion took place, which focused on the mobile vertical and covered how the industry can expand rapidly by offering players high-quality experiences that are accessible on the go.

SBEA+ is set to make a comeback next year on the 1st and 2nd of July, throughout which the conference will offer its attendees a familiar and productive experience following its highly-successful recently concluded 8th annual edition.
