Stoke City has been removed from bet365
Stoke City Holdings Limited, the owner of a 98.1% stake in Stoke City Football Club Ltd and owner of Stoke City (Property) Limited, has been removed from bet365.
Such restructuring was done for licensing purposes; bet365 found that this was the best way to expand globally while keeping the Club under the Coates family’s long-term support.
As part of the deal, all debts have been paid off and now both Clayton Wood training ground and bet365 Stadium are owned by The Club. John Coates, Richard Smith, and Peter Coates will remain in their positions on the Board of Directors.
John Coates confirmed that these changes will not affect anything, saying:
“My family and I remain steadfast in our commitment to Stoke City, so it’s very much business as usual.”
Strategic infrastructure developments at the stadium and training facility will be progressing at a stable rate in years to come, as Peters’ patrons are assured that player investment will continue to be maximized within competition regulations. The action is taken to bring long-term success to Stoke City and represent the fanbase and the local community in a way that makes people proud.
