After receiving approval from the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB), DraftKings has launched its online poker product in 3 U.S. states, including Michigan, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.

The news of the official launch was announced by the MGCB on July 13, sharing that the operator successfully met all regulatory requirements to start offering online poker under the multi-state market model. For context, Michigan first joined the Multi-State Gaming Agreement (MSIGA) in 2022, allowing local users to access online poker and play with live users from other US states that are part of the agreement.

Executive Director of the MGCB, Henry Williams, commented:

“This approval reflects the strength of our partnership with Bay Mills Indian Community and the thoroughness of our regulatory process. As Michigan’s multistate poker network continues to grow, we remain focused on ensuring every operator meets the same high bar for fairness, security, and player protection.”

The regulatory board additionally stated that DraftKings’ approval marks the state’s commitment to offering regulated and legal gaming services while following responsible gaming standards and upholding industry integrity.

States like Nevada, Delaware, and West Virginia are also part of the MSIGA, and it’s expected that DraftKings could further expand into the mentioned states if it obtains the necessary regulatory approvals.

Alongside DraftKings, the MGCB had previously granted a similar multi-state approval to FanDuel’s PokerStars in April 2026.
