Group online NGR increased by 3%, while online gaming revenue climbed 8%, but online sports betting revenue slipped 3%, which the company put down partly to football results that went customers’ way in August and September. Additionally, retail NGR fell by 2%.
In the UK and Ireland, total NGR grew by 8%, with online gaming up 17% and online sports betting up 3%.
CEO Stella David said:
“I’m pleased with our Q3 performance. It reflects the strength of our execution and reinforces the resilience of our globally scaled business as well as its ability to consistently deliver high-quality growth.”
International NGR dropped by 4%. Brazil’s President Lula signed an order in late September banning online betting and casino gaming, leading to Entain’s revenue there falling by 36%. New Zealand, Spain, and Canada each posted double-digit online growth, while Italy declined by 6%.
Entain kept its full-year guidance, which assumes the Brazil ban stays in place through 2026. It expects online NGR growth of 4% to 6% at constant currency and underlying EBITDA at the lower end of £910 million to £960 million. Its outlook for BetMGM remains net revenue of $2.9 billion to $3.1 billion.
