FanDuel and DraftKings to launch Super Bowl parlay markets

FanDuel and DraftKings are planning to offer Super Bowl parlays after CME Group filed to list multi-leg “Pro Football Championship Combo” contracts with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) on January 27, 2026.

The filing uses the CFTC’s self-certification process, which allows exchanges to list new contracts. As financial exchange products are supervised at a federal level and not under state law, they can be offered in states where sports betting is illegal.

CME Group’s example contract, which is called a “combo,” connects three outcomes into a single trade and includes a team to win, a specific player to score a touchdown, and the game total to finish over/under a set number.

It’s estimated that the total betting handle for the Super Bowl period will be around $1.5 billion, which means that securing parlay-style product approval ahead of the Super Bowl would be a huge step for CME Group.

DraftKings and FanDuel’s competitors, including Kalshi, Robinhood, and crypto.com, have already launched their own parlay-style products.

FanDuel and CME Group established a partnership in August 2025, after which they presented FanDuel Predicts in December 2025. Meanwhile, DraftKings and CME Group also partnered through DraftKings Predictions, which went live in December 2025. However, the platform doesn’t offer sports event contracts in states where it already operates a sportsbook.
