Flutter Entertainment delists shares from London Stock Exchange
On June 12, Flutter Entertainment revealed that it plans to remove its listing of ordinary shares from the London Stock Exchange (LSE), effective August 3, 2026.
Discussions of exiting the LSE were first revealed during the company’s Q1 earnings call, as management shared that Flutter was in the process of reviewing the listing. Trading activity levels, as well as regulatory requirements and costs connected to the listing, were assessed in order to decide on the company’s presence in the UK.
Flutter Entertainment shared in a statement:
“Flutter Entertainment plc, the world’s leading online sports betting and gaming company, today announces its intention to delist its ordinary shares from the London Stock Exchange (“LSE”) with effect from 8.00 a.m. (London time) on Monday August 3, 2026. The Company has requested the UK Financial Conduct Authority (“FCA”) to cancel the listing of its shares on the Official List of the FCA, and to request the LSE to cancel the admission to trading of those ordinary shares on the main market for listed securities of the LSE.”
With the decision now finalized, the sports betting and gaming company’s main trading venue remains the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). Additionally, Flutter first obtained an NYSE listing in 2024 after strong growth in FanDuel’s U.S. operations.
Flutter’s LSE exit is part of a broader industry trend, with multiple companies removing themselves from the exchange because of decreased trading and high costs. For Flutter, July 31, 2026, is set as the last day when the company’s shares can be traded on the London Stock Exchange.
