Norsk Tipping appoints Tonje Sagstuen as interim CEO
Tonje Sagstuen will be leading Norsk Tipping as the company’s interim CEO.
At the end of June, the CEO of the Norwegian gambling operator, Thor Gjermund Eriksen, announced his resignation to pursue other career opportunities. The outgoing Chief Executive will be leaving Norsk Tipping at the end of August.
Following this announcement, the company began the search for Eriksen’s replacement. While a permanent CEO has not yet been selected, Tonje Sagstuen will be taking over the position of the gambling firm’s Interim CEO at the start of September. The new appointee will be leading the business until a permanent Chief Executive is assigned in the future.
The Chair of Norsk Tipping’s Board of Directors, Sylvia Brustad, commented:
“We are excited to have Tonje lead our operations as our Interim CEO while we continue our search for a permanent replacement for our outgoing Chief Executive, which will be a thorough process as we will take our time to find an excellent new candidate to lead our company in the long term.”
At the end of May, Norsk Tipping introduced brand-new lower loss limits for its younger customers, which limited gamblers under the age of 20 to losing only 2 thousand kroner per month. Read more about the operator’s newly introduced loss limits here.
