The state of Colorado set a new record in the sports betting tax revenue, making October a strong month for the state’s regulated market.

According to the Division of Gaming, October brought in US$4.76 million in tax receipts. The figure is 47% higher compared to September, also beating the previous best of $4.44 million recorded in January this year.

Christopher Schroder, director of the Division of Gaming, said:

“Colorado’s regulated sports betting industry continues to deliver significant benefits, and October’s record-breaking tax collection is a testament to its continued growth and stability.”

He further stated that the funding would be instrumental in supporting the state’s vital water projects. Schroder also noted that with the growth of the industry, the state will still be very much dedicated to providing a safe and responsible environment for all bettors.

October saw Colorado’s total gross sports betting revenue grow to $62.2 million, reflecting a 58.1% increase from $39.3 million reported in the same month of 2024. In addition, handle grew from $601.2 million to $680.5 million, a 13.2% rise compared to the same period last year.
