Spain records strong Q3 with $366.3M

Spain reported strong Q3 results, highlighting the rise of GGR by 14.4%, which is significantly more than Q2 revenues.

Casino gaming claimed the crown, generating $194.8 million, which makes almost 54% of the total GGR. The biggest contributors to the industry are slots and table games. While not as strong as Q2 revenues, sports betting secured second place with $143 million in revenues, which makes up 39.1% of total GGR.

The big numbers come from higher player activity. In Q3, players were more engaged than ever, with deposits rising by 23.9% to $1.2 billion and withdrawals jumping 30.3% to $844.2 million. Moreover, operators also saw 459,543 new gambling accounts opened, which is an increase of 42.4% when compared to Q3 2023.

The interest from players comes from operators’ investments in marketing campaigns. Almost $70 million was spent on promotions, $53 million on ads, and $14 million on affiliate deals. Meanwhile, Spain’s Ministry of Social Rights sanctioned 15 gambling operators, issuing $69 million in fines.
