Super Technologies secures deal to acquire Maxbet Online
Superbet Group’s rebranded company, Super Technologies, has secured a deal to acquire Maxbet Online, making the group the biggest gambling operator in Romania.
Super will be adding Maxbet Online and Maxbet Malta to its portfolio, which will not only improve its position in Romania but also in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). Meanwhile, the group has also expanded with the help of a €1.3 billion refinancing secured in 2025.
Adam Lamentowicz, Super’s chief commercial officer for CEE, said:
“The acquisition of Maxbet aligns with our consolidation strategy in the CEE region and strengthens our ability to build a competitive entertainment ecosystem tailored to the expectations of customers in each market. Romania is a key pillar of our growth strategy, and this transaction enables us to accelerate both operational and commercial development through a diversified brand portfolio and a well-defined customer community.”
Maxbet Online CEO Manuel Bauer added:

The deal awaits final approval from Romania’s Competition Council.
