Warning: Fake PAGCOR website targets license applicants

The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) warns of fake websites that claim to offer gaming licenses and accreditations.
Launched on February 22nd, the website www.pagcorphilippines.com is entirely fake and is designed to deceive individuals looking to operate legally under PAGCOR’s jurisdiction, as the country strictly forbids illegal operations under the POGO ban.
PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco. stated:
“We urge the public not to download anything or transact through the said fake website that uses the domain name www.pagcorphilippines.com because it is definitely not from PAGCOR and all its contents are spurious. We shall go after them with the full force and extent of the law.”
To ensure safe transactions, PAGCOR reminded the public that its only official website for licensing and other services is www.pagcor.ph.
PAGCOR has already reported the website to the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) and is actively working to investigate the conditions of this fraudulent practice. In general, the Philippines is actively working on maintaining a legal gaming market. Recently, a Philippine senator called for tighter cryptocurrency rules.
