William Hill to exit 13 international markets by December 2025

William Hill has announced that it will withdraw its online gambling services from 13 countries across Africa, Asia, and Latin America as part of a strategic shift by parent company evoke.

Many people reported this news on their LinkedIn accounts, mentioning the emails they received from the company. The affected countries include Angola, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Kenya, Mozambique, Nepal, Nicaragua, Nigeria, the Republic of Congo, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Somalia, and Vietnam.

According to the official statement, William Hill will cease operations in these markets as of 2 December 2025. However, customers in these markets will still be able to log in and access their accounts until 5 January 2026, having the option to withdraw any remaining funds. After this date, login details will no longer be valid, and players will need to contact William Hill’s Customer Service team to arrange withdrawals. All withdrawals must be made using the same payment method as the most recent deposit.

William Hill confirmed that any open bets due to settle before 2 December 2025 will be processed as normal. Bets scheduled to be decided after that date will be voided, and stakes will be refunded to customers.

This is part of evoke’s continued focus change to “core markets”, which include the UK, Denmark, and Romania.
