Wynn Resorts rebrands Crown London casino as Wynn Mayfair
Wynn Resorts has officially completed its purchase of Crown London, previously known as Aspinall’s, and rebranded the casino as Wynn Mayfair.
Crown Resorts announced the sale earlier this year. The casino venue has a rich history. Originally opening in the 1960s as the White Elephant Club, it later became a luxury casino visited by royalty and celebrities.
Located in the Mayfair area of London, the new venue has a mixed interior of ancient and modern motifs. It offers an exclusive experience with 20 gaming tables, private salons, a rooftop terrace, and dining options serving British cuisine.
Wynn’s chief executive officer, Craig Billings, commented:
“It’s an extension of the Al Marjan casino floor. We have many, many customers that we are already talking to and encountering in that region who spend a significant amount of time in the UK. It doesn’t take many of those to ultimately earn a return on that business.”
This is not the first deal between Wynn Resorts and Crown Resorts. Back in January 2018, Wynn purchased a parcel of land on the Las Vegas Strip that had previously belonged to Crown for a $300 million deal.
