Betsson completes Inkabet buyout in Latin America
Earlier this year, in August, Betsson Group and Inkabet secured a $25-million purchase deal which will see Betsson further expand in the LatAm casino and sports betting markets, which is strategically important for the group, as mentioned by the company’s CEO – Pontus Lindwall.
The group also plans to boost its fourth quarter revenue via this strategic acquisition.
The finalizing of the acquisition comes as a continuous step in Betsson’s and its SW Nordic’s efforts in the Latin American region, with previous similar deals and acquisitions such as Betsson’s and Endorphina’s collective advancement in LatAm earlier in August.
The buyout of Inkabet followed the recent resignation of Betsson Group’s former chairman – Patrick Svensk, in the aftermath of the announcement that the group’s co-founder and CEO – Pontus Lindwall, is to depart, as the former chairman ‘no longer had the full confidence of the group’s major shareholders’.
In other recent news about the group, earlier in September Betsson renewed its solution providing agreement with GiG (Gaming Innovation Group), which saw the latter continue providing Betsson with its GiG Comply marketing compliance solution.
