Merkur Group acquires major stakes in Spintec
Merkur Group has taken a huge step in its collaboration with Spintec, which started in 2019, by now acquiring a significant stake in the Slovenia-based Electronic Table Games (ETG) specialist.
Both organizations have expressed that their years-long partnership led to the investment, as Management Board Member at Merkur Games, Dominik Raasch, noted Spintec’s global presence and strong market standing.
Raasch added:
“Spintec is a highly innovative and successful ETG specialist, distinguished above all by outstanding quality and a strong global footprint. This investment is a real asset for the Merkur Group and an important driver of our international growth strategy. With Spintec at our side, we can offer operators an even broader range of gaming experiences – further strengthening Merkur’s position as a reliable full-service gaming provider.”
Merkur and Spintec have agreed that the cooperation is already successful, and it was the natural next step in their partnership. They attribute the success to the ideal combination of Spintec’s cutting-edge ETG solutions and Merkur’s networks across different continents.
Spintec CEO Goran Miškuli also made remarks:
“Over the past years, we have seen just how well Merkur and Spintec complement one another. I am confident that this investment will allow us to exceed the results of our partnership so far and unlock additional synergies that will create value for both organizations.”
It’s also been observed that Spintec is looking to expand to regions like Australia and New Zealand. Some statements from Spintec also suggest that the company might be looking to expand in Macau’s stadium gaming sector.
