Interview with Alexa Bond – Head of Affiliates at N1 Partners

AffPapa recently interviewed Alexa Bond, Head of Affiliates at N1 Partners, about her career, Tier-1 affiliate marketing tech trends, N1 Puzzle Promo, and more.
Yeva: Alexa, you’ve built a solid reputation in the affiliate marketing space. Can you walk us through your career journey and what led you to take on the role of Head of Affiliates at N1 Partners?
Thank you, Yeva! Working at N1 Partners has truly accelerated both my career and personal growth.
When I first stepped into iGaming, I quickly saw its pace, creativity, and potential — and I knew I wanted to grow in the industry. From there, my journey at N1 Partners has been pretty straightforward: I joined the LeadGen team in 2021, moved up to Affiliate Manager in 2022, and then 2024 brought two big milestones — first a promotion to Team Lead and later that same year to Head of Affiliates.
Public visibility naturally became part of my working routine as I grew in the affiliate space — especially when it came to building collaborations with partners. Reputation in the industry comes organically through long-term relationships within the community. This is truly part of life: I launched a professional Instagram account, began sharing insights through interviews and podcasts, and today I often represent N1 Partners in the media, at major conferences, and by staying closely connected to the affiliate community. Here, we truly value initiative and a strong drive for results.
For me, this is more than just a job; it is a chance to share my experience and contribute to N1’s reliable multi-brand ecosystem and affiliate program, where personal career growth goes hand in hand with partner-focused principles and business success.
Yeva: N1 Partners has grown into a multi-brand powerhouse. In your opinion, what sets it apart from others in the iGaming affiliate space?Â
Over the past seven years, N1 Partners has grown to 12 brands. Just last year, we launched five new projects, pushed our average Reg-to-Dep on top brands up to 70%, and now offer partners CPA deals up to €650 or RevShare up to 45%, with 99.9% of payouts always on time.
It’s not just about the numbers — they reflect the capabilities and strengths we bring to our partners.
Our key markets right now include Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Norway, Ireland, Denmark, and Slovenia, covering every major Tier-1 region. One of our biggest strengths is tech: we’ve invested heavily in our Affiliate Platform, so partners get a state-of-the-art dashboard with real-time analytics and detailed traffic metrics. Everything’s transparent — from player stats and deposits to retention — with easy exports and API integrations.
And, of course, it’s about people. Each partner gets a dedicated affiliate manager, available 24/7 to advise on everything from funnels to GEO strategies. We aim to be more than just a program — we’re a team, growing together.
Yeva: Can you share any recent updates or initiatives that have been particularly well-received by your affiliate base? Is there anything new to anticipate?
Oh, yes, right now we’re running something huge — the N1 Puzzle Promo — and it’s definitely a story worth sharing across the industry.
This promo will run until the end of 2025. Registered partners drive traffic and collect puzzle pieces: the more pieces, the higher the chances to win. For example: 1 puzzle for every 10 FTDs from SEO, 1 for every 40 from PPC and ASO, and 1 for every 100 from Facebook or other channels like social, SMS, email, UAC, or in-app traffic.
Our slogan, “Why drive when you can fly?” hints at the grand prize: a real Robinson R22 Beta II helicopter. Honestly, I’m still amazed — I don’t think anyone in our space has ever done something like this. The feedback has been incredible. Partners love competing not just for payouts but also for unique prizes and experience from brands like Porsche, Rolex, Cartier, Louis Vuitton, and more.
It perfectly reflects our mindset: pushing for new horizons and inspiring everyone around us.
Yeva: When considering potential new affiliates or networks, what criteria do you prioritize to ensure alignment with N1 Partners’ values and goals?
First, we check the partner’s background. If we’ve worked together before, we compare past metrics. If not, we explore industry forums, look at blacklists, and reach out to fellow operators for feedback.
Then we look at the traffic: it must be transparent and ready to audit. Anything suggestive of fraud, brand-bidding, or schemes is rejected at once.
Once all preliminary checks are complete, we focus on establishing a personal connection — ideally via a call or an in-person meeting when possible. We appreciate partners who are upfront from the start, sharing live stats and clear information about their traffic sources. That transparency matters — we build our business on honesty and expect the same in return.
Finally, we look ahead together. The partner agrees with our KPIs and outlines a strategy for higher-quality FTDs, exploring new GEOs, and improving player retention. If we both see a win-win, we seal the deal. For us, sustainable growth and loyal players matter far more than a quick spike that might disrupt the user experience later.Â
Yeva: iGaming affiliates are becoming more tech-savvy and performance-driven. How do you see the role of affiliate programs transforming in the next few years?
The role of affiliate programs is going to change even more. Partners already want real-time API feeds and automated reports on LTV, ARPU, and churn, so just paying for first deposits won’t cut it anymore.
Programs will start sharing profit forecasts, provide AI tools that personalize offers for different audiences, and help partners plan long-term growth.
Marketing will bring it all together: fresh content, podcasts, influencer collabs, and big promos like our N1 Puzzle Promo will keep affiliates engaged.
And it’s not just the future — we’re seeing the results already. Over the past year alone, our program has grown fast. We expanded from 7 to 12 brands, saw a 30% jump in active players, and a 42.4% increase in deposits. On top brands, Reg-to-Dep hits 70%, active affiliates are up 21%, and average payouts have climbed by 46%. It’s proof that data-driven strategies work better than chasing any random traffic.
And of course, building long-term relationships with partners is truly valuable for the affiliate program. It goes beyond just business — more integrations, new experiences, and expanding opportunities for partners, and through them, for ourselves as well.
Yeva: What upcoming trends, whether in tech, regulation, or user behavior, do you believe will most significantly impact affiliate marketing in iGaming?
In tech, it’s definitely AI and predictive analytics. Even now, we’re optimizing bids in real time and creating dynamic creatives. On the regulatory side, stricter KYC and AML rules mean operators with solid licensing will be valued even more. And when it comes to players, there’s a clear shift toward mobile-friendly gamification. People expect instant gameplay and quick win validation.
Yeva: Finally, if you could attend one industry event or conference every year for the rest of your career, which would it be, and why?
It’s hard to pick just one event — in this industry, staying in the flow and riding the wave is what really matters. Every event is unique and important, from networking meetups like those organized by AffPapa to major exhibitions such as iGB, SBC, and SiGMA. We’ve just returned after iGB from London. The show brings together operators of all sizes, top affiliates, industry leaders, and key projects in one place.
This July, we executed an impressive branding campaign featuring an authentic London red double-decker Wealth Bus and a branded helicopter. And it wasn’t just for show! We also decided to delight Traffic Squad, one of the teams currently in the top 3 of the N1 Puzzle Promo, by giving them an unforgettable experience: a private tour of London on the Wealth Bus, followed by an exclusive helicopter flight over the Thames in an N1-branded chopper. Needless to say, they were absolutely thrilled!
That’s exactly how we demonstrate our main goal: to give partners the tools and energy they need to stay number one. And we’re not stopping there. Next up is SBC Summit Lisbon — and I’m sure we’ll manage to surprise the market once again!
