Entain purchases Angstrom Sports for £203m
Entain has recently announced that it will be acquiring Angstrom Sports for up to 203 million pounds.
This acquisition’s total consideration will be split into two parts, with Entain having to pay 81 million pounds initially while the rest of the up to 122 million pounds will be due over the course of the next three years.
Angstrom Sports is a sports data firm that offers its clients a varying set of services, including data analytics, forecasting, and wagering modeling. The company utilizes an advanced simulation model to generate accurate forecasts which stand out from the competing offerings with their variety and speed.
The data firm mainly specializes in the wagering market of the United States, which will enable Entain to offer its worldwide player base a variety of accurate betting data for numerous US-based wagering options. Moreover, the operator will also be able to expand its catalog of betting opportunities, which will include numerous new in-game and parlay wagers.
This announcement is the latest acquisition announced by Entian, followed around a month after the operator announced its 750 million pound purchase of Polish gambling operator STS. This latest Angstrom Sports deal is estimated to be finalized in the coming months in the year’s third quarter.
