PAGCOR Launches New Website to Boost Player Protection

PAGCOR launched a new website yesterday – PAGCOR Guarantee, to boost player protection, allowing the public to check the legitimacy of online gaming providers.
The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) takes player protection to another level with the launch of PAGCOR Guarantee. Players can now verify the legitimacy of iGaming providers.
PAGCOR chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco shared:
“This new website will help our players easily identify and verify whether the online gaming sites are duly licensed before playing or making any payments. By providing the public with a quick and accessible way to check a site’s legitimacy, we are empowering them to make informed decisions and avoid falling victim to fraudsters and scammers.”
The site features a regularly updated list of licensed iGaming platforms. Tengco mentions that the website “underscores PAGCOR’s intensified campaign to promote safe and responsible gaming.”
He strongly suggests that the players verify whether the gaming platforms they use are licensed or not before engaging in any gambling activity.
Tengco added:
“Illegal online gaming sites not only endanger players but also erode public trust and deprive the government of vital revenues. The PAGCOR Guarantee is a key component of our regulatory framework to protect both the industry and the Filipino people.”
The launch of the website followed the growing number of complaints against iGaming platforms that did not pay out the winnings of players.
