Former Entain executives sue over legal advice disclosure

Former Entain executives Kenny Alexander (ex-CEO) and Lee Feldman (ex-chairman) are suing the company and its law firm, Addleshaw Goddard (AG), over claims that confidential legal advice was shared with UK prosecutors without their consent.
The lawsuit comes from Entain’s £615 million settlement with authorities in December 2023 to resolve a bribery investigation into its former Turkish business. This settlement, known as a Deferred Prosecution Agreement (DPA), protected the company but did not extend to its former leaders.
Alexander and Feldman argue they were clients of AG and should have had access to the legal advice provided regarding the Turkish business. They believe Entain and AG may have shared privileged materials with UK authorities, which they say required their approval. Their legal filing states that if they shared joint privilege over those materials, Entain had no right to waive it without their consent.
Entain rejects the claims
Entain stated it would defend itself firmly. Meanwhile, the company is dealing with leadership challenges. Recently, CEO Gavin Isaacs departed from Entain after five months, leaving Stella David to take over as interim CEO, with Pierre Bouchut as chairman.
This lawsuit is not the first legal battle for Alexander and Feldman. In November 2024, they sued the UK Gambling Commission, accusing it of leaking private information when blocking their attempt to take over 888 Holdings. Now, their case against Entain adds to the ongoing legal disputes surrounding the company and its former executives.
