Wynn Resorts unveils marina plan for UAE island
Wynn Resorts has officially entered into a collaboration with IGY Marinas and Marina Solutions International (MSI) to develop its premium Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.
Wynn Resorts announced the Wynn Al Marrjan project back in 2022. IGY Marinas is famous for managing luxurious marinas around the world. The marina will host both leisure boats and large superyachts, offering first-class service and amenities.
Steve English, CEO of IGY, commented:
“Our involvement in the Wynn Al Marjan Island project represents a significant milestone for IGY Marinas. We are excited to build on our existing presence in marina management in the Middle East and contribute to the creation of a world-class destination for yachting and gaming enthusiasts.”
When it comes to Marina Solutions International, they have been working on the WynnAll Marjan project since 2022 by handling design, market studies, and strategic plans.
James Beaver, Director at MSI, stated:
“MSI has been working closely with Wynn Resorts on the Al Marjan Island Marina project since 2022. Our involvement from the start has been to provide an extensive feasibility study for the marina, establish its market position, provide conceptual and detailed marina designs and operational consultancy. We’re delighted that we could support Wynn and assist in the process of selecting a world-class operator in IGY. This marina is a huge opportunity for the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah to establish itself as a yachting destination. We look forward to the continued development of the marina and, once open, to seeing its success unfold long into the future.”
Wynn Al Marjan will have 1,530 rooms and suites, luxurious dining, pools, a spa, and a salon. The marina itself will have 101 berths for yachts up to 85 meters long and include the latest marine technology and services.
Back in 2024, Wynn Resorts won the UAE’s first commercial gaming license and later announced that it would be ready to welcome its guests in Q1 2027.
