AGEM Index rise in June, led by Aristocrat and Light & Wonder

June saw a 7.7 percent increase in the AGEM Index, which tracks the stock prices of several suppliers of casino technology, rising by 94.57 points to 1,330.19.

In the past year, the index increased by 26.6 percent.

According to the Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM), the index’s publisher, nine out of the twelve companies that make up the AGEM Index recorded gains in stock price during the most recent month. Only three companies contributed negatively to the index.

Aristocrat Leisure Ltd., an Australian-listed slot machine specialist and online content provider, was the largest positive contribution to the monthly index. Its 10.8% increase in stock price resulted in a 55.08-point gain for the index.

Light & Wonder Inc., a Nasdaq-listed gaming equipment and online content company, saw its stock price rise by 9.8%, resulting in a 21.97-point gain for the index.

Crane NXT Co., which is listed on the New York Stock Exchange, was the largest negative contributor to the index. Its stock price fell 2.9 percent, causing the AGEM Index to lose 2.36 points.

In June, all three major U.S. market indices rose from the previous period. The Nasdaq increased by 5.9 percent this month, while the S&P 500 increased by 3.5%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 1.1 percent from the month prior.
