Boyd Gaming publishes Q2 financial report
Boyd Gaming generated 917 million dollars in revenue in Q2 2023.
The report started off with the revenue figure, which was slightly higher than the 894 million dollar revenue the firm generated in the same period last year. The company experienced a slightly higher jump in revenue in the year’s first half, which went up from 1.75 billion dollars to 1.88 billion dollars.
Boyd Gaming’s EBITDAR figure, on the other hand, went down slightly from 354 million dollars to 351 million dollars. The company operating income saw a slightly smaller decline in the period, going from 245 million dollars to 244 million dollars. However, the firm’s H1 operating income experienced a bit of growth, going from 496 million dollars to 528 million dollars.
In contrast, the operator’s net income saw a sizable increase of 31% in the second quarter, going from 146 million dollars to 192 million dollars, while its first-half net income grew by 26% from 309 million dollars to 392 million dollars.
Breaking down the company’s revenue by its operating divisions, Boyd Gaming’s retail gambling offerings generated the most for the company at 660 million dollars. This was followed by the company’s online offerings and the food and beverage services of its land-based establishments, which generated 85 million and 70 million dollars respectively.
