Gaming industry raises charity Choose love for Ukraine
The international gaming industry raises a charity — Choose love — to support Ukraine.
The fund has the objective of raising £250,000 for the displaced people of the country. Besides, the campaign encourages companies to donate unused goods like power banks, clothes, bottled water, etc.
During the previous week, over 350,000 people left the country. This charity aims to help people who chose to stay in Ukraine and deliver aid and services to them, including medical aid, food and refuge.
The gaming industry closely relates to Ukraine, as a number of providers and operators are based there.
The statement of the charity reads:
“Our aim is to raise the voices of the refugees. It’s ready to do whatever it takes to ensure them everything they may need in these hard times”.
Clarion Gaming is among the companies that joined the initiative and encouraged all stockholders to make donations.
The managing director of Clarion, Alex Pratt, noted:
“Ukraine is a center of tech innovations that pushes the industry forward. Our industry is based on partnership and cooperation, so now we need to come together and support our friends and colleagues”.
Better Collective has also made a donation of £5,000 to the fund of Choose Love.
Sport betting operator Parimatch has also joined the global community in sport of Ukraine. It appeared with a contribution of €2.9mln on 28 February.
Entain posted a statement on Linkedin on 1 March, announcing a donation of £50,000 for providing humanitarian aid for the injured or wounded people in the country.
