The live and land-based casinos within New Jersey State report around $1.23 billion in wagering throughout December 2021, the 4th successive month.

The live casinos succeeded to advance their outcome by recording $133ml in the previous month.

The betting volume had an increase by 24 percent compared with the figure of December 2020, and sportsbook winning comprised $59 in GGR, which had a decrease of 11 percent. The total GGR reached $8.9ml.

PlayNJ, a tracker of gaming advancement, highlights that such high figures may get under danger. New Jersey’s current status of the biggest esports wagering market may be under threat after mobile sportsbook release in New York City.

An analyst of PlayNJ.com, David Danzis, anticipates that December can be the last month having a billion-dollar outcome.

“NJ’s sportsbooks now try to keep the state market among the top ones in the United States”

Danzis mentioned.

New Jersey’s land-based and live casinos generated $10.9bl in wagering, taking the top position in the United States in 2021. The GGR cost $815.8ml, including $122ml. Compared with 2020, both figures have a 105% increase.

An analyst in PlayUSA.com, Eric Ramsey, noted that 2021 was the year for New Jersey as it led the industry market within the US though it didn’t last long. According to him, New York is the next to take the crown.
