Beter and Aspire Global cease business deals with Russia

Aspire Global ended its partnership with Russian National Lottery, while Beter decided to terminate its business deal with Russia.

iGaming solutions provider notes that the reason behind the termination is a different perspective in business. However, in the thick of worldwide negative response to what’s going on in Ukraine, it could be considered as a major drive for termination.

Aspire claims that the cancellation of the contract, which was inked yet in 2020, will not impact on the revenue and profit in the current year.

The company entered Denmark and acquired a license for the launch in the Netherlands through its BtoBet sportsbook.

Meanwhile, Beter has pinpointed the reason behind its cancellation and notified all providers that work within Russia. The company mentioned that it’s not able to do business with an “aggressor country.”

Beter aims to broaden its activity within Europe for the amplification of its product and content. It will deliver its services from some EU regions.

The chief executive at Beter, Gal Ehrlich, noted:

“We can’t show indifference to the current situation, as it affects the lives of our friends and partners from Ukraine. We support Ukraine in these hard times that’s why we decided to terminate all operations in the country”.

Ehrlich went on saying that he hoped to reopen Beter’s offices in the Ukraine soon.

These two companies are the latest to backlash Russia’s attack. Prior to this Parimatch had withdrawn its franchise from Russia in the previous week. Also, Bet365 closed its bet365.ru without detailing the reason.
