GamCare launches gambling harm experience newsletter
GamCare has recently launched a newsletter covering various lived experiences of people with gambling harms.
The newsletter, titled Reflections, will be aimed at people who have experienced various gambling harms and will also cover such stories as part of the charity’s commitment to highlighting gambling harm experiences. It will also aim to assist gamblers actively experiencing harm by providing them with resources from GambleAware’s recently renamed NGSN network.
This newsletter will continue building upon the foundations set by the latter’s Lived Experience Network and Council, and GamCare’s Lived Experience Forum initiatives, which have played an immense role in the NGSN’s mission of raising awareness of gambling harm and helping people suffering from it.
The Lived Experience Manager of GamCare, Colin Walsh, remarked:
“We are excited to be further enhancing our gambling harm awareness efforts through the launch of our new newsletter. This launch will further help us accomplish our mission of highlighting the stories of people who have experienced gambling harm and providing those currently affected by it with support resources.”
The first release of the newsletter will be launched at the end of the month, after which a new edition will be available on a monthly basis.
