Jennifer Barber is NorthStar Gaming’s new CFO
NorthStar Gaming – Canadian-based media business and trusted news organisation – Jennifer Barber as their new chief financial officer.
Jenifer has been in the business for a very long time, and worked for a CFO for 2 other Canadian companies.
She became part of Torstar Corporation in 2012 and had various roles there, such as SVP of Finance, CFO for Torstar Community and Daily News Brands, and after working there for over ten year she become the company’s CFO.
Prior to her career in Torstar she worked for Hydrogenics, a Renewable Energy Semiconductor Manufacturing.
M. Moskowitz, the chief executive officer of NorthStar, expressed his opinion about Jenifer’s appointment by saying:
“We are happy to welcome Barber to our company. The knowledge, skills and experience which she is going to bring will be important to our leading team. Her experience in the financial management is valuable for us.”
The responsibilities of her new role are taking care of the company’s financial activities, working relations with investors and many more. She will also be responsible for financial reporting and management.
