The Star names Steve McCann as new CEO and Managing Director
The Star, an Australian gambling operator, has appointed Steve McCann as its new group CEO and Managing Director.
The appointment takes effect on July 8th,subject to the obtaining of necessary regulatory approvals.
The move follows the departure of the business’s Chairman, David Foster, with other top executives taking on extra responsibilities as the group searches for a new CEO and MD. McCann has significant gaming expertise, most recently acting as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Crown Resorts. He formerly served as the group CEO of Lendlease Corporation, a real estate and investment group, for more than a decade.

This experience will be invaluable as we work towards rebuilding trust and expediting the sustainable transformation of The Star.”
McCann added:
