GambleAware reports a new commission model for those in need
GambleAware issued its future plans for helping those who are suffering from gambling.
With its new plan, GambleAware has an intention of upgrading the ongoing helpline, making regional services more integrated, improving the support system for treatments and increasing the collaborations between local partners and service providers.
The NGTS is a special organization that focuses on helping those who are suffering from the effects of gambling. It operates as a third-sector organization and provides services through telephone, online platform and in-person support as well.
According to GambleAware the document of the new intentions was created for the purpose of helping those in the United Kingdom who are harmed by gambling.
“Our organization is happy to report our new commissioning plans which are going to be based on success of our support programs.”
commented Anna Hargrave, the CCO of the company.
It is important to note that before issuing the plan a lot of work was done by the company. Throughout the whole process they were in touch with stakeholders, local authorities, partners of the National Health Service and other experts.
GambleAware is sure that with their new model treatment organizations will be able to support more people who are struggling.
“As the prices of living are growing the number of gamblers and people affected by it grows as well, so we need to make sure that our strategies are in line with our new environment and that communities who are in need are being supported. We have been working with our partners for many years now and have a deep understanding of gambling harms, so we are going to keep utilizing our knowledge to make sure that we make an impact.”

In a study commissioned by GambleAware, which was done in 2020, reported that NGTS removed up to 60% of patients from the category of problem gambling, and the outcomes are verified by another 2021 report on users from Scotland and Wales.
During the past years NGTS has organized many campaigns in order to raise awareness about gambling issues which were carried out by GambleAware.
