CalvinAyre.com to stop news publishing and moves into new crypto-based platform

CalvinAyre.com founder Calvin Ayre has published a statement announcing that the website will no longer be publishing any news on the gambling industry. The website is set to remain live but not publish any news.

Ayre is the founder is Bodog Entertainment, and launched the website back in 2009 after giving up all roles within the iGaming industry.

The founder mentioned in his statement yesterday:

I launched CalvinAyre.com due to my dissatisfaction with the news sites that then dominated discussion of the gaming sector. I found their coverage too deferential to the established giants of the day and too oblivious of the changes I saw looming on the horizon. You never forget your first love. I encourage you to visit CoinGeek.com and join me on my next great adventure.

He also noted that his decision to shut down his self-titled website was made since he had moved his own focus and interest into covering the news and main activities of the nascent crypto and bitcoin marketplaces on his brand new website CoinGeek.com.

Rebecca Liggero, an industry reporter, also stated that she is moving to CoinGeek.com as she will be covering all developments concerning cryptocurrencies. In the meantime, business contributors Rafi Farber, Erik Gibbs, Daniel Gardner and Derek Tonin have all also said their last farewells.
