Flutter donated £8m to charity over 2023

Over the course of the year, Flutter has dedicated approximately 8 million pounds to various charitable causes.

The company recently announced that its British and Irish businesses have reached the donation milestone as part of Flutter’s commitment to supporting the communities of the markets where it operates, which in turn is a part of the company’s global sustainability initiative. The program, titled Do More, has the objective of impacting the lives of more than 10 million people by the end of the 2020s by utilizing Flutter’s reach, resources, and the dedication of its team.

Some of the group’s latest major donations included Paddy Power’s commitment of up to a million pounds to a British prostate cancer charity, which the operator will carry out as part of its new sponsorship agreement with the World Darts Championship. The final donation amount will be proportional to the number of maximum points scored throughout the tournament, as the firm will donate a thousand pounds per 180-score hit. Last year’s result of just over 900 maximums being scored means that a final donation of over a million pounds is possible.

Additionally, the group has also donated more than 100 thousand pounds to two charities providing support for jockeys that were injured while racing, along with dedicating 6 million pounds to a six-year fund that will be providing numerous EFL teams with up to 100 thousand pounds for various initiatives.
