Gambling Commission has recently hired John Baillie and Catharine Seddon, who are going to join the company’s board by the end of December.

Nadine Dorries, a British politician who is part of the Secretary of State for DCMS, has chosen these two commissioners to become the newest members of GC’s board. Initially, Baillie and Seddon will be serving the company until April 10th, 2024.

J. Baillie is an experienced professional who has had many positions during his career. He held the position of a chairman for different organizations in Great Britain, some of which are Accounts Commission for Scotland, Audit Scotland and more. He also worked at University of Edinburgh as an accountancy professor. He had similar jobs in different universities as well.

C. Seddon is a perfect addition to the company, as she had also worked for many organizations. For fourteen years she worked as a NED for many national regulators. Catharine has been a board member and chairperson for different Non-departmental public bodies. She is known to be a lay expert in the Mental health and Employment Courts, and also a judge. Back in 2017 Seddon became part of the GS and worked as a senior independent director.

It is important to note that the organization has 8 commissioners who are working for them, including Marcus Boyle as chair.
