Gambling Commission to issue a new guidance

Gambling Commission issued a new guidance for the protection of the players, and operators are required to pay attention to it.

These new rules were announced back in April, and they are going to be valid starting from September 12.

The new guidance is more strong and instructive, it is going to have more requirements and be focused on large-scale monitoring responsibilities. Prior to their introduction, a new updated guide was issued, specifically designed to facilitate compliance.

The document has twenty-seven pages and can be found on the official website of Gambling Commission. The guidance shows the iGaming operators how to communicate with clients.

Currently, the guidance which was published during the times of coronavirus is going to apply until September, but after that the new guidance will replace the old one.

“Operators should consider this guideline before it becomes valid. We are giving everyone in the industry some time to get ready for the new changes and await full compliance by September. All the brands need to be attentive to prevent players from harm, and the guidance shows what we expect from them.”

commented A. Rhodes, the chief executive officer of Gambling Commission.

Later he added that it is extremely important for the operators to comply with the requirements in order to identify the players who are more at risk.

Gambling Commission stated that more consultations are going to be released.
