SoftSwiss announces launch in Nigeria
SoftSwiss has now officially expanded into Africa in its strategy of global expansion. The company has been planning to extend its reach into different parts of the world for a while now, and has moved into Africa after obtaining a Nigerian licence. The company’s entry into new regulated markets will surely prove useful.
Nigeria has the highest population among all African countries right now, with over 200 million people currently living in it. It is also quite a popular gambling hub in the continent and has been working hard on the improved regulation for lotteries and sports betting. Aside from that, the country also is home to one of the most rapidly-developing gambling markets in Africa. Internet exposure levels are also rising in Nigeria, making it a great place for iGaming operators.
Africa as a continent is generally more oriented towards sports betting than it is for iGaming and online casinos, which paves the way for the success of the new SoftSwiss sportsbook launch, and will greatly contribute to the company’s presence and position in the new promising area.
SoftSwiss founder Ivan Montik noted in a statement on the expansion:
Entering the Nigerian market marks an exceptional turning point for SoftSwiss, as we’re expanding our global presence to a brand new continent. Nigeria is considered one of the most fast-paced igaming markets in terms of growth and we cannot wait to begin providing our services there. Nigeria is a great achievement for us and we’re planning on moving even further into other regulated markets.
