Stats Perform announces Nick Cockerill as new Group VP of Sports Betting Products

Stats Perform has announced the appointment of Nick Cockerill for the position of Group VP of Sports Betting Products. Cockerill is a former Sky Betting & Gaming technology veteran with vast experience in his field.

He joined the company this month to lead the betting innovation arm of the company. The sports tech firm is now hoping to fuse its data capture, media and sports analysis abilities in order to further improve and create new innovative products for all of its clients concerning betting.

Furthermore, Stats Perform said that Nick Cockerill is a main part of the company’s scheme to enhance its betting innovation unit, since he had previously worked at Sky Bet on many of their important projects and plans during the seven years he spent with the company.

Cockerill served as the Head of Technology for Sky Bet, and was in charge of leading the engineering and creation of the company’s proprietary sports betting systems. These systems are well-known in the industry as some of the most revolutionary and advanced technology platforms.

Before he left Sky Bet, Cockerill also was in charge of the sportsbook development for The Stars Group Inc. He helped the company launch a revamped sportsbook in some new regulated markets.

Cockerill said in a statement posted on Linkedin:

“After 7+ incredible years at Sky Betting and Gaming/Stars Group/Flutter I can’t wait to start tomorrow at Stats Perform. Everyone I’ve spoken to over the last couple of months has been so passionate about what we’re doing it’s hard not to be excited about our work to leverage AI and machine learning to deliver some brilliant new products and services to clients (and future clients!) and their customers.
