FDJ has finalized its previously announced purchase of PLI.

FDJ’s purchase of the Irish gambling firm was originally announced a few months ago at the end of July, with PLI’s previous owners receiving 350 million euros for the gambling firm.

FDJ’s Chair and CEO, Stephane Pallez, remarked:

“Through this collaboration, FDJ achieved its strategic goal of expanding its operations internationally to provide gambling experiences in markets beyond France. We will be able to combine our expertise and knowledge with that of PLI’s to provide the players of the Irish national lottery with a set of responsible and standout experiences.”

The CEO of PLI, Andrew Algeo, commented:

“This collaboration is quite an exciting development for PLI, as it will be providing our players and stakeholders with an excellent set of opportunities. We would like to extend our gratitude to our previous supporters, as PLI has been able to maintain and accelerate its growth momentum under their ownership.”

This collaboration has enabled FDJ to diversify its operations beyond its home market in France, making Ireland the first foreign operating country for the French group. The purchase will also provide FDJ with the opportunity to operate the Irish national lottery, as PLI holds the exclusive license for the country’s national lottery offering.
