ZEturf Group officially acquired by FDJ

FDJ has recently finalized its 175-million-euro purchase of ZEturf Group.

This announcement follows shortly after the competition regulator of France provided FDJ with the necessary approval to finalize the transaction on the 15th of September. Through FDJ’s latest acquisition, the company will be expanding its catalog of gambling brands with ZEturf Group’s subsidiaries, along with growing its sizable prominence in the gambling industry of France.

FDJ’s Chief Executive and Chair, Stephane Pallez, remarked:

“This acquisition will expand our presence in the French gambling sector and solidify our leading position in the country. After launching our poker offerings, this purchase will further diversify our services, allowing our firm to expand at pace while maintaining our commitment to responsible gambling.”

Having originally been founded more than two decades ago in 2001, ZEturf Group has managed to expand at pace, reaching a revenue of more than 50 million euros last year and garnering a team of about a hundred professionals. The firm is one of France’s leading wagering operators focusing on thoroughbred racing, with its market share making up around a fifth of the total French equestrian betting industry.

As part of this purchase, FDJ plans on restructuring ZEturf’s operations in order to better take advantage of the opportunities offered by the contract and to maintain compliance with its commitments to the country’s competition regulator.
