Per Widerstrom officially takes over as CEO of 888

888 Holdings’ new CEO, Per Widerstrom, has already taken over his new responsibilities.

Following the gambling firm’s previous announcement in late July, Per Widerstrom’s latest position as the Chief Executive of 888 Holdings has gone into effect today, on the 16th of October. His appointment as the CEO of the company follows several months after the departure of 888’s previous Chief Executive, Itai Pazner, which was announced at the same time as several of the company’s AML failures in late January.

Having a career of more than three decades, the new appointee is an excellent candidate to lead the gambling firm as its CEO. He has worked in the gambling sector for over 20 years, during which he has held numerous leadership positions at a variety of leading industry firms. One of his most recent and noteworthy leadership roles was at Fortuna Entertainment, where Widerstrom was the Chief Executive for around 8 years.

Additionally, alongside Widerstrom’s position as CEO of 888 going into effect, the company announced that its Interim Executive Chairman, Jon Mendelsohn, will be returning to his previous position of Non-Executive Chairman following his almost 9-month interim tenure that started shortly after Pazner’s departure.
