Yeva: Zimpler works in a variety of different industries around the world, including the iGaming one. In your view, what are some of the unique challenges and quirks of providing gambling companies with payments solutions?
The gambling industry is heavily regulated in many parts of the world, and payment solution providers must ensure that they comply with all relevant laws and regulations. This includes KYC and AML requirements, as well as restrictions on certain types of payment methods. The industry itself is a high-risk sector for fraud, and payment solution providers must have robust fraud prevention measures in place to protect against fraudulent transactions. We take compliance very seriously, understanding that we need to be ahead of the game and we achieve that by covering AML transaction monitoring by the banks in many markets. iGaming companies can have high transaction volumes, especially during peak periods, which can put a strain on payment processing systems. For us, that’s not a problem, because we are able to handle large volumes of transactions quickly and efficiently. Also, many online gambling companies operate in multiple jurisdictions. Different countries may have different payment regulations, currencies, and payment methods, which can make it difficult to provide a seamless payment experience, luckily Zimpler has close relationships with banks in many countries, cooperations with Swish in Sweden and PIX in Brazil, making payment processing a breeze.

We place a strong emphasis on providing high-quality customer support to ensure that our users can have their issues resolved in a timely manner. We ensure that our customer support team is available 24/7 to assist users with any issues they may have. This ensures that users can get help whenever they need it, regardless of their time
zone or location. We aim to respond to customer queries as quickly as possible, typically within a few hours, minimizing any disruption to the user’s experience and ensuring that issues are resolved in a timely manner. Every customer has a dedicated account manager, who can offer personalized support and help resolve more complex issues via multiple support channels, including skype, email, whatsapp and phone support, giving users the flexibility to choose the channel that works best for them.
Yeva: As the payment solutions landscape continues to change rapidly every day, how does Zimpler ensure it can lead the industry in terms of innovation? What is the company’s strategy for adopting emerging industry trends?
We are committed to staying at the forefront of the payment solutions industry and driving innovation in the space by investing heavily in research and development to identify emerging trends and technologies in the payment solutions industry. We have an agile development approach, which allows us to quickly iterate and test new ideas and features, helping to stay nimble and responsive to changing market needs. We work closely with banks to be on top of their constantly evolving APIs, share knowledge and expertise, helping us to identify new opportunities and stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies. On top of that, we actively seek feedback from our customers to understand their pain points and identify opportunities for improvement to develop solutions that are tailored to the specific needs of our customers.
Yeva: Continuing on the theme of emerging trends, how do you think innovative technologies like cryptocurrencies and the blockchain will change the payments landscape in the future, particularly for the gambling industry?
Innovative technologies like cryptocurrencies and blockchain have the potential to significantly change the payments landscape in the future, particularly for the gambling industry. However, there are also challenges around regulation and anonymity that must be addressed. Whilst the anonymity that crypto provides is great for the users, it’s also great for criminals and money laundering. We believe in these emerging technologies, but believe in order to remain compliant, crypto needs to be complimented with additional KYC and DD tools, such as Zimpler, to ensure operators know who their users are. As these technologies continue to evolve, it will be interesting to see how they are adopted and integrated into the gambling industry.
Yeva: Which markets does Zimpler offer its services in? If it were to grow its international presence, which jurisdictions would the company like to expand into?
Zimpler currently has our main focus within the Nordics, Baltics and LATAM regions. We’re expanding heavily in LATAM, first with Brazil which was launched in May, soon Peru and Chile, Colombia and Mexico in the pipeline.
Want to highlight that in Brazil we launched ZimplerGO, our registration with the first deposit product that is the first of its kind in Brazil. It reduces the registration and first deposit flow from on average 17 steps to 5 steps. Deposit flow is reduced from 8 input fields to just 2 in addition providing KYC enrichment preventing fraud.
We have also expanded our services to other industries beyond iGaming, such as e-commerce and financial services.
Yeva: Lastly, let’s get a bit off-topic to close off our interview. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time, Vents? Do you have any hobbies outside of work?
I am a high-energy person, which is probably why I ended up in sales. However, during my free time, I enjoy engaging in activities that fuel my passion for adventure and challenge, such as cycling, motorcycling, and reading.
Cycling has been a long-standing hobby of mine, which I continue to pursue actively. I find the speed, obstacles, and challenges of cycling to be exhilarating and fulfilling. More recently, I have taken up adventure motorcycling, which has quickly become a cherished pastime. Being outdoors and surrounded by nature while indulging in my love for motorcycling is the perfect way to unwind and clear my mind.
In the evenings, I like to take some time to read self-development books or biographies. I believe that my hobbies have played a significant role in shaping me as a professional. They have taught me the importance of setting goals, being persistent, and thinking outside the box to achieve common objectives. Overall, my hobbies have been a valuable asset to my personal and professional growth.
