ANJ partners with French advertising authority
The French ANJ has recently strengthened its partnership with the country’s advertising authority, the ARPP.
The collaboration between the two authorities has been ongoing for the past three years, during which the two have worked on the country’s gambling advertising regulations. The recently signed agreement will have the aim of deepening the working relationship between the gambling and advertising regulatory bodies to enhance France’s gambling advertisement regulation efforts.
The new contract features five key points, with the first one being a clarification of the responsibilities of both authorities. The announcement stated that operators that aim to inquire about their promotional campaigns will need to contact the ARPP.
The second point highlights that the two authorities can share their expertise and opinions in a variety of cases, such as on reports and analyses. The third point of the contract continues on a similar theme, allowing the two regulators to share data with each other, specifically when various rulings and decisions are involved.
The fourth point of the contract states that the two organizations will meet annually to discuss the emerging trends of gambling advertising and upcoming regulatory changes proposed by the authorities. Lastly, the partnership’s fifth point states that the two authorities will be working together frequently to create and enhance various supporting tools and resources for the country’s gambling operators, which will involve the creation of certificates and guidelines.
