To prevent the rise of new Coronavirus cases, Macau casinos are introducing a new round of closures, although the casinos are going to remain open.

During the last few weeks, the Covid cases went up making it the primary reason for a few leisure facilities to close.

On the official website of Macau’s government, a formal statement was published according to which entertainment places like cinemas and clubs will close after 5 pm, but restaurants or similar establishments will remain to be closed for a while.

Despite the fact that there were few Covid cases, casinos avoided shutdown. The city testing, which took place yesterday, revealed that the instances were caused by a small number of casino workers.

According to Macau’s Novel Coronavirus Response and Coordination Center, more than a hundred cases were reported today.

As a result of these cases, all the city residents are going to have to submit NAT testing.

Executive Order No. 102/2022 states about the recent closure issued by Ho lat-seng, the chief executive of Macau.

Based on the order, entertainment facilities such as parks, pools, gyms, gaming zones and many more are closing.
